Office of the Information Commissioner (Queensland)

The Office of the Information Commissioner (Queensland), is an independent body established under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) to promote access to government-held information and to protect people's personal information held by government under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld). The Office is responsible for providing information and assistance to Queensland government agencies (such as state government departments, local councils and public authorities), Ministers and the community. The Office also conciliates privacy complaints. provides monitoring and reporting on the performance of government agencies and reviews specific agency and Minister decisions under these laws.
