State-based scheme which investigates and facilitates the resolution of complaints from residential and small business customers about their gas, electricity and water companies.

The Energy Industry Ombudsman can handle a whole range of issues that include:

  • Billing disputes
  • Problems with the provision and supply of electricity, gas or water 
  • Complaints about the marketing or sale of gas, electricity or water
  • Disconnection disputes
  • Credit and payment difficulties
  • Complaints about the way electricity, gas or water companies have accessed your property
  • Behaviour and manner of electricity, gas or water company staff
  • Contractors and agents.
